Now, Connie Haigh is looking forward to her 3 day stay in Calgary. June 16 to 19 when she will renew friendships with the Airforce women's reunion at the University of Alberta. The paper drive, tho' not adver- tised for the lovely day of May 28 was an overwhelming success but slightly tiring for the collectors who needed more parents to help. On Wed. evening, June 1, 26 ladies from the 'Head' U.C.W. gathered at the Port Darlington Garden Marina Hotel for a 40th Anniver- sary dinner in a special area overlooking the quay. A few pictures were taken in- cluding one of 6 members of the original charter members. Seven- teen of the original members when the organization was plann- ed at the home of the late Ethel Redman have now passed away. Three others live elsewhere. There were special decorations prepared by Mrs. Marylyn Heayn & pretty corsages for all.
