Kent Farndale (left) has the bakery business in her blood--her father, Grant Gerrow, owned the bakery before Hank DeJong, so Kent was literally raised amongst the smell of baking bread. Next to Kent is Minnie DeJong, wife of the late founder. Minnie spent a great deal of time in the shop from the time It was purchased from Mr. Gerrow, in 1963, until It was turned over to her son Wayne in 1979. Next to Minnie Is Bernice Tennyson, who worked at Hank's from 1963 to 1979, and next to Bernice Is Lorraine Leduc, who has worked from 1967 to 1983. At far right is Diny Peever, daughter of Hank, who worked part- time from 1965 to 1983. All these hard-working ladies returned to their old jobs at 9 a.m. and kept busy pouring coffee, doing dishes, taking or- ders--and mostly, swapping stories about the "good old -days." Kent summed It all up when she said, "We've been having a wonderful visit with old friends. It's been a wonderful day."
