June 19 at Epsom Church there will be a Congregational Picnic (pot luck lunch) after the service with games and contests for the children. : Congratulations to Collette Ber- trand who will receive her prestigious 'Girl Guide of Canada Cord" June 26. I have saved the best till the last but we had a wonderful church service on Sunday. After a brief regular service the Epsom Junior Choir performed a most stirring musical 'In the Beginning." Each child had a solo part as well as singing in the chorus. With much concentration and a lot of work the front of the church had been transformed into a representation of the Garden of Eden. Under the direction of their talented leader, director and pianist Donna VanVeghel the following sang and danced their way into our hearts, Ginny VanVeghel, Collette Bertrand, Karen Skelding, Nicole Acarra, Sally and Amy Irving, Joel VanVeghel and David Lee. They were so professional, so full of life - and vitality, that at the end they received a standing ovation, as did Donna. Now Donna needs a couple of months vacation from organist and senior choir leader- ship. I'm sure someone will be found to take over for a little while. Tripto Quebec On April 20, 23 pupils from the Grade 7 French Immersion class at R.H.
