Open House was held at the home of their daughter & son-in-law, Donna & Glenn Van- Camp. Other family members were their son Ross, six grand- children and nine great grand- children. Over 200 guests dropped by during the afternoon to wish the happy couple best wishes. A telegram was received from the Queen, Regional chairman, Gary Denture Therapy Clinic Herema brought best wishes from the Region, Mayor Taylor from Township of Scugog. Flowers were sent from the Liberal Association and a letter from Sam 'Cureatz,. MPP. A plaque was received from David Peterson. John has lived in Port Perry for his entire life and Elva lived in the Epsom area until 1921 when she moved to Port Perry.
