Soccer scores SQUIRT DIVISION On Wednesday, June 8th, Van Camp Construction were too strong for Classic Photos winning by a score of 7-0. Ryan Moynes led the way with 3 goals and Blayne Kinnunen and Jonathan Reed each adding 2 goals apiece. In the other game the Royal Canadian Legion edged the Port Perry Star 2-1. Chris Murphy scored the lone goal for the Port Perry Star. Un- fortunately no scorers were available for the Royal Canadian Legion. ATOM DIVISION June 8th also saw action with Gord Lewis Motors taking on Rent and Save while Prestige Hair played against Taylor Ford Mercury. Gord Lewis put on their scoring boots coming out on top 6-0. Scoring for Gord Lewis were Kevin Hobbs and Aaron Lafon- taine with two each and singles going to Robbie Murphy and Kirstan Wootton. In the other game Taylor Ford Mercury edg- ed Prestige Hair 3-2. Tommy Chambers came to play this night as he scored all three goals for Taylor Ford. Scoring for Prestige Hair were Matt Phillips and Steven Davidchuck. MOSQUITO DIVISION On June 7th, Port Perry Prin- ting came up against Uxbridge. The team played well but unfor- tunately lost a close one 3-1. Scor- ing the lone goal for Port Perry Printing was Jeremy Luke. Mackies Transport the other Mosquito team was in action June 9th against Stouffville. The team showed no mercy for the Stouff- ville team as they came out on top 12-0. The scorers for Mackies Transport were Matthew Cameron with 4 goals, David Bourgeois with 3 goals, Sandy Mark chipping in with 2 goals and single goals going to Max Gallagher, Brett lawson and Dar- ryl Bourgeois. This was a great showing. Keep up the good play guys. MINI DIVISION Only one game result available from last week's action. Rotary Club and Ridge North Realty fought to a 0-0 tie. The other two games scheduled were Lake Scugog Lumber playing against Canadian Tire and Big V battling Sportsland. ATOM DIVISION In Atom play, Taylor Ford Mer- cury was up against Rent and Save with Gord Lewis Motors in action against Prestjge Hair. In the first game Taylor Ford came out on top by a score of 2-0 in a close game. Again scorers were unavailable. In the other game Gord Lewis also by a score of 2-0 overcame Prestige Hair. The game was well played with Rob- bie Murphy and Kristan Wootton scoring the goals in the second half. As a note to all referees and coaches, please ensure all game sheets are filled out properly. Fine showing by our paddlers Six members of the Scugog Canoe Club competed in their first "official" regatta on Saturday, and turned in some nice perfor- mances in Mississauga. Competing in the Bantam C Division (10-14 years of age) for Novice paddlers, the youngsters turned in some first and second place finishes. Aaron Cohoon took first in the mini-kayak, and 2nd in the war canoe; Mike Carthur was 2nd in kayak and 4th in war canoe; Pat Smith 4th in kayak and 2nd in war canoe' Jake Leroe was 6th in HEY KIDS! kayak, first in war canoe; Devin Blair took a first in kayak and 3rd in war canoe, while Mike Pothier was 3rd in kayak and war canoe. In the C4 event, all six placed in third place. The other canoe clubs compet- ing in this Bantam Regatta includ- ed Mississauga, West Rouge, Balmy Beach, Mohawk of Bur- lington and Oakville Racing Club. | Next Saturday, the Scugog Canoe Ckub will send a contin- gent of young paddlers to a regatta hosted by the West Rouge Club in Toronto.
