Katherine Ellis hit two singles ~The Greenbank Gamblers ran their winning streak to 8-0 in the Oshawa City and District League "A" Division before they were finally stopped by Oshawa A.C.L. This game was close right to the final inning as Oshawa broke a 2-2 tie and ended up with a 5-2 victory. The Gamblers, Russ Korbar and Oshawas, Steve Crummy, were the starting pitchers in the game and the lead changed hands on three occasions. : John Foster put the Gamblers in to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning as he belted a long home run over the left centre field _ fence. .
