The weather was perfect and we all enjoyed the outdoor activities under the able leadership of Bar- bara & Bill Leask and many helpers. Ross Stone supervised the prizes and Joan Lane listed the winners. Races: 2-3 yr. old - 1. Janine Gordon; 2. Michael Stone; 3. Closest Birthday - Shawna Stone. 50/50 draw winners - Heather Jensen & Cathie Leask. Short business meeting was presided over by Charlie Leask. Charlie announced he was stepp- ing down as president due to ill health. Charlie Leask nominated Bill Leask as president seconded by Jeff Temple. Joan Lane nominated Elmer Eadie as vice- president, seconded by Barbara Leask. Unanimous. Charlie congratulated Brenda Leask on her success in the swim- ming competition at the North York meet. capacity requirements. One that ties thousands of firm, well-shaped bales without a miss. There will be an International Ontario Leask Reunion in 1991. This will be the 150th anniversary of Peter Leask coming to Canada. A vote of thanks was expressed to Charlie by Elmer Eadie for his work as president. Thanks also to Jeff & Joan Temple for seeing everyone has a name tag. We all enjoyed the display of old books, pictures and things provided by Bill & Barbara Leask and Ewart & Clara as well as others. The entertainment was in the hall under the able organization of Betty Stone and her daughter Janice Kerr. They lead us in a sing song which included the Leask Clan Song. This was en- joyed by all. Scottish dancer Jen- nifer Blackburn from Port Perry with her mother and dad's help, entertained us and we ap- preciated their coming. Elmer Eadie entertained with stories with a French flavour. Leaslie Bradley - Betty Stone's gran- daughter sang beautifully for us. Charlie introduced Margaret Leask who showed her slides of India where she spent many years as a teacher - missionary. Margaret now lives in Uxbridge. With everyone helping and par- ticipating this was a most suc- cessful gathering - See you next year. Cralg was also presented with a music award at the grade 8 graduation ceremonies June 28. R.H.
