Hilda Hopkins had a surprise visit last week from Wesley Bryant of Whitby and Thelma Webb of Florida. Wesley and Thelma lived at one time across the road from Hopkins with their parents, Stuart and Goldie Bryant and other members of the fami- ly. It has been some 44 years since Hilda and Thelma have seen one another. Big changes since then in our little town. I recall that the Bryant residence was a very popular place for dances a way back then. Last Friday night, we gathered together at the Community Cen- tre in honour of Jim and Elaine Ewing who were married recent- ly at Burns Church. They were the recipients of many lovely and useful gifts. The evening being ex- tremely hot, everyone enjoyed the refreshing punch and lemonade, while Jim and Elaine were busy opening their gifts.
