26 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, August 16, 1988 T-ball winds down with terrific fourney On Friday night, August 12, the year end tournament for T-Ball was held at the south diamond at the lake. All four teams--Kinsmen, Country Lane, Rankin and Philp Pontiac--participated. The children all enjoyed the tournament and had great fun. Afterwards, they were all treated to soft drinks and a softball crest, complements of Port Perry Minor Softball. All proceeds from the weekend of baseball will be donated to the Ajax/Pickering General Hospital Expansion Fund. The tournament needs teams for its Men's "D", "DD" and "E Rec- reational" divisions. The top three teams in each division will quali- fy for the 1989 Coors Provincial Championships to be held in Nia- gara Falls. The Ajax tournament will be held Friday September 23rd to Sunday September 25th.
