Last year when the Port Perry High School had its reunion, the oldest n who was able to at- tend was Mrs. Ida (Woodley) Brit- ton residing in the Marmmwood Nursing Home in Bowmanville. At 90 years old, she was very alert and interested in everything and everybody. Ever since the celebration of the Island "Head Memorial" Church Centennial celebration in 1960 and later museum activities, she had shown a keen interest in the area and people of her former home area. Now, we are saddened to report that news of her dcath occurred in Bowmanville last week in her 92nd year. Her cheery nature will be missed. It was a joy to receive a letter from her with her lovely penmanship. Mrs. George Samells is present- ly in the Toronto General Hospi- tal and experiencing different tests at present. Mrs. Harold Forder again has the pleasure of a visit from her older brother from Montreal. While here he was able to take part in the annual family picnic usually held at his relatives' for- mer family farm, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Scot- land, England, Switzerland, South _ Africa, Israel, Poland and Yugo- slavia. Presently, David is assistant professor of drama at Evangel College, Springfield, and Susan is assistant professor of voice and music history.
