Jack, Robert and Margaret Couperthwaite enjoyed a lovely, picturesque trip last week to Pinelands, with a boat trip through the Thousand Islands and lovely weather and good entertainment. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rahm celebrated their thirty-fifth wed- ding anniversary in Port Perry with a family gathering on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. George Rahm and the Couperthwaites attended the Ladies night of the Port Perry. Orangeman's Lodge Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Campbell and family attended a house war- ming in Newmarket on Sunday. Art Rodgers guest speaker at service visited York, Penn., Atlantic Ci- ty and Wilkes Barre, Penn. They enjoyed a tour of the Amish coun- tryside. Here the people live without electricity or telephones - only have a gas engine running their washing machines which they use every day of the week! Why? Because 3 to 4 generations of one family live in one extend- ed farm home with 6-12 children in one family.
