The fourth and final game saw Blanchard's Supply Co. skate to an easy 6-0 victory over Dennis Anderson's. Cleaning up for Blanchard's were Mark Jobb 3 goals, 3 assists; Mike Driscoll 2 goals, 3 assists; Dan Carty 1 goal, 3 assists; and Ron Zaparaniuk 1 assist. Recording the shutout for Blan- chards was Don Card. Atom H.L. underway October 8th, 1988 The house league got off to a great start with 4 of the 5 teams seeing action. Tripp Real Estate (6) vs Scugog Lumber (3). The first game of the season saw many great plays and saves at both ends of the ice. Tripp open- ed the scoring with Matt Phoenix getting the goal with Duanne Rombough drawing the assist. Matt Phoenix added 3 more goals before the lumbermen got on the board. Jason Hopkins then Steward Bruce assisted by Jason Hopkins got Scugog close. Matt specializing in . Phoenix again then Steven Cochrane assisted by Matt Phoenix put their team up by 4 before Jason Hopkins assisted by Jon, Jamieson closed out the scoring. Whitby Auto Wreckers (4) vs Port Perry Lions (4) The second game also showed many fine plays and saves. Terry ~ Jellicoe assisted by Matt Philips then a goal by Matt Philips gave the Lions an early lead. Jason Brown with his first assisted by Ryan Larmer got Whitby on the board. With just under 2 mins. to play Ryan Larmer scored and Jason Brown with his 3rd gave the Wreckers a hard fought tie. If the 2 games played are any indication we will be in for a great season.
