Last weekend Cecil and Marie Gibson along with Marie's brother Elwood Tripp attended the fiftieth wedding anniversary Open House in honour of Luella and Percy Walters of Qshawa. Ann and Peter Vanderheul also attended this happy event. The honoured bride of fifty years is Marie and Elwood's sister. Better health is wished for Mrs. Leanne Lang of Mason Street who is in a Toronto Hospital. A speedy recovery is hoped for you Leanne. Most of the University and Col- lege students were able to return home - bet Mom's cooking never tasted as good as did this weekend after either cooking for yourself or else having residence food for several weeks. Sympathy is extended to Deb- bie and Brad Curle, Tara and Meaghan on the loss of their son and brother Robert. Robert put up a great fight against a disease for a long time. The funeral ser- vice for this likeable young boy was held in the United Church on Friday afternoon. The communi- ty extends sympathetic thoughts to all the family. On Saturday evening David and Lois Wotten's wedding dance was held in Nestleton Hall with Herb Vine and his group providing the music.
