She grew up on a farm near Greenbank, On- tario. Annie went to school at Marsh Hill and later trained to be a dressmaker in the town of Ux- bridge. It was there that she had her own shop for several years until she became the bride of Harry Guy at the age of twenty five. Her husband bought a farm near Blackwater where they farmed for many years. Annie was very active in the Women's . Missionary Society of Pinedale United Church and she loved to attend their quilting bees and sewing circle. When their health began to fail, they bought a home in Greenbank. She lived there for several years after her husband died. Annie's greatest joys in her life were her family, her church and her flower garden. Later, when she was no longer able to care for her large house and garden, she moved to a senior citizen apartment in Port Perry. After several happy years there, she took a slight stroke. Soon after the stroke she had a sale and mov- ed to her daughter's home in Peterborough. Recently she was in hospital but for the last few months she lived at the Springdale Nursing Home where she went to meet her lord and saviour on August 22, 1988. Annie Guy is survived by her 2 daughters, Evelyn Ainsworth of Peterborough and Flora Martin of Peterborough and one son Elmer Guy of Lindsay, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, sister of Evelyn Tait of Cannington, Bill Carnegie of Cannington, Grace Gray of Uxbridge, Arvella Phoenix of Greenbank and predeceased by Nelson Carnegie and Viola Paisley.
