Several week ago, the Rev. Charles Bull of the Port Perry An- glican Church received an infor- mation package from Election Pri- orities, a non-partisan national organization sponsored by 25 groups and agencies, including several churches, CUSO and the Save the Children Fund.. Election Priorities is attempt- ing to inform the general public about the position of candidates in the federal election on global is- sues. Over 300 communities in Canada, including Port Perry surv- eyed the candidates seeking elec- tion federally on November 21. In Port Perry, a committee of interested persons who belong to the Anglican Church was formed to ask the Liberal, New Democrat- ic and Conservative candidates to complete the survey. A lack of time and personnel prevented this committee from interviewing the three other candidates in Durham Riding. : Members of the committee asked the Port Pcrry Star to print the survey answers given by Eon- scrvative Ross Stevenson, New Democrat Marg Wilbur and Liber- al Doug Moffatt to the 13 ques- tions.
