They were married in 1938 in Toronto. Walter was born in Fisher Branch, Manitoba, and has operated his own business, Superior Tire Co. Ltd. in the Toronto area for more than 40 years. Helen was born in Poland, and immigrated to Toronto with her family at age 14. The couple has resided on Scugog Island for the past 11 years. In honour of the couple, their children Irene and Paul Hyatt, Sylvia Kelly, Carol Richards, Rick and Robin Chudy, and Valerie Chudy, hosted a private family dinner at Deerpark Inn, Stouffville, on Saturday evening. Attending were their 8 grand- children, and relatives from Win- nipeg and Hamilton. On Sunday, Nov. 13th, a reception was held at the Bayview Country Club, Thor- nhill, with their many friends and relatives joining in the celebration. Congratulatory messages were received from Governor-General Jeanne Sauve, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, opposition leader John Turner, Ontario Premier David Peterson, Ontario M.P.P. for Durham East Sam Cureatz and Mayor D.
