Doors open at 11 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. Come early for great Double Deals. Our "Country Christmas Bazaar" will be held in the nursing home while right next door at the Villa will be their "Gingerbread Bazaar." Several vendors will be joining us and providing items such as bak- ing, cratts, raffles, etc. Please come and support the Resident Activity Fund. November 14th to the 18th was a very busy week with a big focus on crafts and baking. In the even- ing of the 15th a church service was given by the Emmanuel Pentecostal Church. Also on this particular day a few residents went for a visit to the Balling Farm. : On Wednesday (16) a shopping trip took place at Woolco Mall located in Whitby. Many residents got a head start on their Xmas shopping. The following week also hosted many baking & craft sessions. A bowling match was on Monday, Nov. 21 with Mr. J. Doupe being top scorer with 102 pts. On Tuesday evening a church service was provided by the Greenbank United Church. On the Wednesday a very im- portant meeting was in progress at the monthly residents council meeting. The majority ruled that they wish to purchase 3 new ar- tificial trees and lights to go on each floor of the building. Also many other important ideas were brought forth. -:A Bingo game was held in the evening. On the evening of the 24th we had a dance featuring entertainment provided by the TO MARIPOSA RESIDENTS | wish to thank you all for supporting and allowing me to serve you these past eight years as your Councillor and Deputy-Reeve. | will, on your behalf, continue to be vigilant for this Township, and wish you all the very best in the future. Residents celebrating bir- thdays are Mrs. Jean Michaud (Dec. 8), Mrs. Hazel Jewell (9) and Mrs. Annie Nugent (12). Also birthday greetings go out to staff member Barb Wright. On behalf of the residents and staff may I express our sympathy to the family and friends of the late Mr. Sam Anderson. Sam passed away peacefully on Nov. 17th after fighting with a long bat- tle of cancer. With the Christmas season ap- proaching there will be many special activities and programs planned therefore if I miss men- tioning any of these I do apologize.
