Many farmers take advantage of the many educational oppor- tunities offered to upgrade their knowledge and their farming skills. The Ontario Agricultural Col- lege offers farmers' meetings on January 3, 4, and 5. Topics range from fish farming to computer use. Beef herd operators might be interested in the Genetics Workshop, in Lindsay, on January 9th, and the Cattlemen's * annual meeting on January 26th. - Events of interest to dairymen include the Holstein annual meeting on January 6th, and the United Breeders Genetics Workshop on January 27th. There's something for everyone at the East Central Farm Con-_ ference, in Lindsay, January 17th to 23rd. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food will be hosting a four even- ing Business Management Course beginning on January 16th. It is directed toward young or begin- ning farmers. . Production Awards were presented at the recently held An- nual Meeting of the Kawartha Jersey Club. Keith and Peter Do- ble, Sunderland, were winners of the awards of all six age classes.
