The bridesmaids were Michele Ash, sister of the bride; Linda Vehof, sister of the groom; and Joanne Kroonenberg, friend of the bride. Joanne's wee daughter Tara Kroonenberg, who was celebrating her third birthday the following day, was the pretty flower girl in a white gown, head- band and. veil to match the bride's. The groom was handsome in a white tuxedo jacket with black pants. His atten- dants wore black tuxedos with ties and cummerbunds to match the bridesmaids' .colours. The best man was Doug Davies, friend of the groom. Richard Carter, brother-in-law of the bride; Edward Crocker, brother-in-law of the groom and Todd Steele, friend of the groom acted as handsome, capable ushers. Fraser Lee played a beautiful rendition of "Spanish Romance" on his guitar during the signing of the register. The reception was held in the church hall. The flowers in the Island United Church in herr memory were much appreciated. The Couples Club at the Island United had a slow beginning, but is gradually building up. Therefore they will meet again this coming Saturday evening, January 14 at 8 p.m. at the Island Church & enjoy the planned pro- gram. All are welcome. On Thursday morning about 70 ladies arrived at the:Latcham Centre for breakfast with the Christian Women's Club and en- joyed the varied program that followed.
