With Dave Bourgeois and Harvey Williams with a team of green shirted boys and Mike Pretchyko and Ray Zaparanuik with a team of green shirted boys. This was really a fun night for the boys and the fans had a great time just trying to figure out who all those hockey players were. With the playoffs over, all the boys were relaxed and we were all treated to some fine hockey. The scoreboard indicated a 3-3 tie. Way to go guys. On Saturday March 4th the PineRidge Sports Atoms played against the Little N.H.L. Cana- dians at Scugog Arena. The first period was scoreless but in the opening seconds of the second period Oshawa scored. Minutes later Darryl Moase was able to poke one in to tie it up. Midway into the third period Oshawa was able to score again. It was a busy weekend as the boys were off on Sunday after- noon to Opps arena. The Opps. team was fast skating and the boys really had to hustle. The op- position was able to put one in each period to take the game 3-0. Don't forget 6:30 practice in the morning on Wednesday. Softball meeting } (From page 33) ing used equipment, please bring items in Friday 6 to 9 p.m. If there is enough interest, we will be having clinics for coaches and umpires (male and female). More information will be available at registration. We had a very successful High 5 wafer campaign last year. We were able to purchase a pitching machine which is available to all coaches. Troy Campbell, a 7-8 Mite player was one of the Grand Prize winners. We also had win- ners of balls and bats. We will be participating in the campaign again this year. Unfor- tunately we will not be able to pur- chase something as great as a pit- ching machine. Someone out there does not appreciate Minor Softball as we had ALL our balls stolen at the end of the season from our equipment room. - Therefore, proceeds will be used to purchase new balls which will cost approximately $2,000. Our next general meeting will be April 4. Please watch the sports section in this paper for dates and times of upcoming events. etn oy es = vy i ~ . y "Laughter is a tranquilizer with no side effects." country Lane Hwy 7A & High Street, Port Perry, Ontario
