Mrs. Marie Foster, Mrs. Helen McKean, Mrs. Doris Hill, Mrs. Margaret Couperthwaite, Mrs. Marie Cookman and Mrs. Mary Jean Till attended the 27th Annual Meeting of Lindsay Presbyterial U.C.W. on Wednesday March 29, in Cambridge United Church in Lindsay. The theme was "Prayer, Promise and Possibility." The guest speaker of the day was Rev. Brian Gee of St. Marks United Church in Whitby. His latest published book is "Unlock you Bible." There was a lovely baby shower held in honour of Ashley Postill, daughter of Bonnie and Larry Postill, and Kyle McLaren, daughter of Colleen and Michael .McLaren, last Wednesday even- ing at the home of Dot Hooker. Best wishes to both of these families. It seems that the power failure last Tuesday night in Greenbank damaged quite a few household appliances throughout the area. Visitors with Joanne and John Olivero and boys over Easter weekend were Joanne's mother, Helen Bennett of Forester's Falls and cousin Donna Bucholtz and children Joshua and Jodie of Pembroke. They were joined on Sunday by John's parents, Joe and Doris Olivero of Toronto who stayed for a few days following Easter. Margaret, Jack and Robert Couperthwaite travelled to Agin- court on Friday to attend their un- cle's funeral. Sincere sympathy is extended to their family. The Good Wishes and Farewell Tea which was held at the hall on Sunday for the Jeronimo family was very well attended. The com- munity wishes them all the best in their new home. We would like to welcome Jin- ny and Young Chang and family into the community. They are the new proprietors of the Greenbank General Store. Mr. and Mrs. John Simpson of Moose Jaw, Sask., visited with" Dorothy's sister, Helen and Don McKean. This was a sad trip for them. John's mother, Mrs. M. Simpsom of Trinity Manor, Ux- bridge, passed away last week and was buried from Trinity United Church on Monday. There are a lot of April bir- thdays in the community. Here's . wishing all of you a happy one. Don't forget the Scout dance on April 15. Come out and support our Scouts. For tickets call Terry Crawford at 985-3547.
