Munching for a good cause Guides have cookie blitz On Saturday, April 22, the Greenbank Brownies, Guides and - Pathfinders will "Cookie Blitz" our community. They will be go- ing door-to-door selling Girl Guide Cookies. So please "Be Prepared" when these girls come a-knocking and support a worthwhile cause. If you would like additional cookies, please call Lila Clarkson at 985-3703. We don't want to miss anyone! Sorry to say that the peanut butter cookies will not be available this year. The Evening Unit U.C.W. is sponsoring a Family Walk-A- Thon of about 2 km. on Sunday, April 30, after church. Come to church dressed for walking. Ladies please bring sandwiches and cookies for lunch. For more information and sponsor sheets please call Joanne Olivero at The Greenbank Evening Unit U.C.W. will be having a reprint of their Cookbooks. Anyone wishing to order please contact a member of the Unit before May 1. Patron space is available. If you would like to attend church but you're not sure about taking your infant or toddler along, there is now a regular nursery schedule in the Sunday School to provide babysitting dur- ing church services. Darryl Linnington of "Step In Time Cloggers" will be holding a beginners class in clogging for school age children on Thursdays after school until 6:00 at the Greenbank Hall. There is a small registration and weekly fee. In- door runners only please! The first class last week was very well attended and there's still time to register! Because of high baseball registration for 9 and 10 year old mites, Judy MacSween is in- terested in setting up another team for this age. If you have a child who is interested in playing baseball and was born in 1979 or 1980, please call Judy at 985-7251. It is imperative that you call by Thursday, April 13, as she must advise the Port Perry Minor League. There is space for 8 more players. Games for this age will Tuesdays from 6:30 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Don't forget the Scout Dance this Saturday, April 15. Come out and support our Scouts. For tickets call Terry Crawford at 985-3547. The Painting Bee for the Green- bank Church basement begins this week. We need your help. Bring your own brush or roller.
