PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, April 18, 1989 -- 27 ® Red Wings take on Jays and win On April 10, 1989, the Red Wings scored four unanswered goals in the first period of Junior Floor Hockey action and went on to solidly beat the Blue Jays by the score of 10 to 5. Darryl Dalton scored three of the first period goals for the Red Wings while Kevin Duncan scored two goals in each of the second and third periods, and both boys earned hat tricks for their efforts. Jason Gunn assisted with two goals and Scott Brounson with one goal. Chris Murphy played ex- cellent while in net for the Red Wings during the first two periods while Joey Drebit and Darryl Dalton shared the duties during the third period. Thanks, guys! For the White Knights, Jason Kane scored. two goals while singles were scored by Pat Smith, Brad Lemieux and Stephen Bisschop. In intermediate action, the Green Gators were leading by the score of 3 to 2 after the second period but the Blackstock Hawks scored eight unanswered goals in the third period to beat the Gators by the score of 10 to 3. Dillon Webber was the big shooter for the Hawks by scoring six goals to earn a double hat trick while Jason Logan assisted with two and Brad Morton and Deryk Campbell with one each. The scorers for the Green Gators were Steven Elliott, An- drew Jacobson and Kevin Pike with one goal each. On April 11, the Blackstock Kings defeated the Red Razors by the score of 5 to 3 in a very well played game by both in- termediate teams. Jonathon McCourt scored two goals for the Kings while Brennan Malcolm, Jason Logan and Doug Lynde each assisted with one goal. Josh Duncan, Adam Jones and Kris Holland scored one goal each for the Red Razors. In the Senior game, the Blue Racers - solidly beat the Blackstock Canucks by the score of 12 to 5. Mike Tripp was the leader for the Blue Racers by scoring five goals while Ryan Duff scored three goals and each boy earned a hat trick. Wade Sheedy and Calvin 'Hammett finished off the scoring for the Blue Racers with two goals each. For the Blackstbck Canucks, Kirk Swain and John Ford scored two goals each while Mark Sim- mons assisted with one goal each.
