¢ 7 PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, May 9, 1989 -- 9 Urban border moves west Durham Region council has approved an amendment to the Official Plan which extends the Port Perry urbanboundary- to include 48 acres of land on both sides of Highway 7A, just west of Port Perry. The lands in question in- clude the Taylor Ford dealer- ship, the Brooks Feed Store and the former Zoecon plant. The amendment recogniz- es the existing commercial and industrial uses of these lands, including a change for the Zoe- con property from industrial to "special purpose commercial." The amendment had re- ceived the support of Scugog Township council earlier this year. In approving the amend- ment, the Regional council not- ed that water and sewer servic- es will not be extended at the Region's costs.
