Seagrave and Area News by Diane Cooke Happy birthday wishes to little Paul Jewell who turns 2 this weekend and Happy birthday to Christina Carter also. Get ready bargain hunters! It's that time of year again when yard sales are so popular and Saturday June 17th is the date set for the big annual Seagrave Church yard and bake sale on the grounds of the Barrs. The Seagrave Brownies and Guides bake and yard sale was a great success on Sat. The guides mothers had a raffle for a pillow and dollie set - the lucky winner was Charlie Durward of Little Britain. They would like to thank Jan McFarlane for making and donating the set. A special thank you to Heather McWilliams for the use of her yard and home and to all those who made donations to the yard sale. It was great to see Marg Prentice, District Com- missioner and Joanne Popovitch District Deputy Comm. come out and rummage through the goodies. The proceeds of this fun- draising event will assist the girls in the guiding program for cam- ping etc. Robin Glade Estates Women's group meets this month on Wed. May 31st - mark your calendar and plan to attend that evenings 'cards and games' night. Seagrave T-Ball and baseball will be starting up next week, (if you haven't already).
