Leader Mabel Cawker brought the meeting to order with a cordial welcome and a thought "What is a mother?" The worship theme ably presented by Neta Fish and Irene McKee was entitled, '"Love' in keeping with Mother's Day! Hymn - "Take my life and let it be" was sung with Gwendolyn Malcolm at the piano. Irene McKee read the Scripture, John 15:9-17, and another hymn "Faith of our mothers," and prayer, clos- ed this part of the meeting. Minutes were read by Gwen Malcolm and approved, and the statement of the Treas. was given 'by Neta Fish. A card was signed for Edda Bowman, a patient in Toronto General Hospital for surgery. Other folks in Hospital had been remembered by the con- vener Leona Sadler. Roll call - "A winter hobby I enjoyed," brought forth many interesting answers. Under business - general presi- dent Jean Williams, thanked the members for help given at the successful Smorgasbord. A spéaker is needed for the UCW Church service on Sept. 24, members please give this matter some thought! . For the excellent programme, Irene McKee gave an interesting reading entitled, 'People Will Talk." Bernice Mairs read a humorous poem about the "modern, carefree grandma," and Neta had a real 'brain teaser" of a contest re - spelling. The meeting closed with Benediction. A tasty lunch was served by Neta and Irene, and a time of fellowship was enjoyed. The courtesy was expressed by Marion Hall. The next regular meeting will be held at the home of Gwen Malcolm on June 13. June Stevenson and hostess Gwen in charge! Cancer Campaign News Some Cancer kits haven't come in yet!
