ui Pee Wee H.L. Pee Wee Softball House League got underway on Monday May 15 with three games being played at 6:30 p.m.. In Seagrave, the home team beat Kentucky Fried Chicken by the score of 24 to 10. The Seagrave team could not do anything wrong while the Kentucky Fried Chicken were lost without their regular coach. Hope that you are feeling better, Gordie! ! At the Legion, X L Eagles edg- ed Pineridge Sports by the score of 15 to 13. The boys on both teams were very frustrated since they are playing without a back-stop. We hope that the members of the Legion will go ahead and install the back-stop to make it easier for the catchers and the umpire, An- drew Barren. Standard Electric took over this game in the first period and never looked back. They beat Cowboy Bobs by the score of 13 to 6. Louis Whitfield and Neil Muller teamed up as the winning pitcher by strik- ing out three batters each. Stan- dard's Ricky Olaisen made a cou- ple of good tags at third base. Jake Waznicky and Joey Broadworth provided the pitching for Cowboy Bobs while playing at the South Diamond at the Waterfront, - their pictures taken before play- ing their second games. At the Legion Diamond, Pineridge Sports beat Cowboy Bobs by the score of 14 to 11. Ritchie Tripp was the winning pitcher for Pineridge while Jason Kane and Clay Scott each went three for three at the plate and each player connected for a double. For Cowboy Bobs, Brad Richardson hit a double to score two runs while Mike Sluggett and Mike Mitchell combined to made their second double play in as many games. : At Seagrave, Standard Electric beat the home team by the score of 15 to 9. Lindsay Parry hit a home run while Chris Jellicoe pit- ched three strong innings and Paul Linton caught a high fly ball in centerfield to set up a double play for Standard Electric. Mike Williams was the losing pitcher for the Seagrave team. ~ In the third game of the even- ing, X L Eagles beat Kentucky Fried Chicken at the waterfront.
