Congratula- tions to the organizers for just a great event that was attended by a good number of staff, parents and former students. A lovely evening. On Friday evening of this week the Blackstock Agricultural Society which will be 124 years old this year will be sponsoring an Auction Sale at the arena as a money making event. Auctioneer Don Cochrane will begin his work at 6:30 p.m.. Items for the sale should be brought to the rink on Thursday evening if possible. A bake table will also be there. Your support is requested. Sympathy is extended to Harold and Dora Martyn and family on the passing of Dora's mother Mrs. Wright last week. - Wm. and Sylvia MacDonald and Leanna Barton attended the Convocation Exercises at Queen's University when Glenn Mac- Donald graduated as a Civil Engineer on Saturday morning. They held a reception for friends and relatives at their home on Crestview. . Rhoda Craig (nee Williams) graduated in Administration from Durham College on Saturday. A family gathering was held at Terry and Rhoda's home in Oshawa following the Convoca- tion. Rhoda is employed in a legal firm in Markham. Another local graduate of Durham College was Craig Hoskin who graduated in Mechanical Techniques. Craig received a special certificate for placing highest in his class. His parents Ron and Sandra Hoskin attended the Convocation. On Saturday Anne-Marie Hoogeveen received her Bachelor of Nursing Science at Convocation Exercises in Queen's University.
