Perry's Community Memorial Hospital Building Fund and also the Ontario Society for Autistic Citizen's, Durham Chapter. Former Port Perry resident, turntable assault technician Steve a "'place to dance to records"... but you won't be hearing any John Travolta. Those attending, will however, be served non'alcoholic Long Islands, tropical punches, Pina Colada's and Spritzers throughout all the dancing. Anyone wishing to view the fireworks put on by the local Chamber of Commerce will have the opportunity as outdoor seating for two hundred will be provided. As the prize list increases, yow'll have a chance to win gift certificates from Circular Sounds, a portable radio PLUS the oppor- tunity to win a pair of "New Order concert tickets." To aid in this fund raiser event for the hospital and the Autistic Society, it would be appreciated if when a member of Rebel D.J. Service comes to your door, make a pledge to sponsor these disc jockey's as they endeavour to beat the world record in hours of performance to a live audience and also make a contribution to the community. Service is puttingon a JAA =] =] a] 4 DEPARTMENT STORE ™ McEachern plans to rais¢ one thousand dollars (five hundred to each charity) when for thirty hours the Latcham Centre is go- ing to be converted into a giant flickering Pina-Colada marathon dance for teens and pre-teens. The first-ever dance party of this magnitude, complete with an extensive light show (including Pyro-techniques - "indoor fireworks') opens its doors to a Pre-Teen dance June 30th at 6:00 p.m.. Pre-teen dances will run both Friday and Saturday nights from 6 to 7:30 p.m. followed by the Teen Dances each night. Admis- sion will be only 50 cents for those ages 7 to 12. A hula-hoop contest and a juggling contest will be on- ly part of the excitement. Then from 8 till midnight, those 13 and up will enjoy the hottest music available, synchronized with 10,000 watts of light show spectaculars. One lucky person and a friend will enjoy two free passes to Canada's Wonderland. Records and tapes will also be given away. Radio personality Jerry Hood will also be in attendance. Just by wearing white or fluorescent clothing you'll become part of the fantastic light show, so be sure to dress to stand out in the crowd.
