Justice Robert Harris heard evidence from two crown witnesses and from the defendant, pertaining to the events of October 4, 1988. Mary Willis, witness for the crown explained that the defendant pulled out in front of her, off Regional Road 10, go- ing north on Regional Road 23. The defendant's vehicle pulled slightly over to the right side of the road and then pro- . ceeded to slow and travel west in an effort to perform a 'U' turn. The witness answered in response to questions that, "there were no signals what- soever," nor did the defendant pull over onto the gravel shoul- der. Mrs. Willis collided with the defendants' car and re- ceived $2100 damage io the drivers'side of her vehicle. The defendant, Mrs. Mill- er, admitted that after leaving the intersection of Regional Road 10 and 23, she realized that she had forgotten an item at home and made the 'U" Turn without looking. She had not spotted the ve- hicle behind her when she pulled out initially, and she did not look spot it before making the turn. The Justice found her guilty of driving without due care and consideration and fined her $128.75.
