After receiving their diplomas, these kindergarten grads from Prince Albert Public School were asked to wait while the rest of the class got thelr diplomas. It was amusing to watch the kids walit--they yawned, they smiled, they used their diplomas for spyglasses-- mostly though, they just Inspired wide smiles from their parents. b STRAWBERRIES Causeway ESSO Garage : EH PICK YOUR OWN : i £ 7A Hwy. 7A Hwy. or ALREADY PICKED Opening June 21/89 2986-4573 Affordable! The Highway TA gas station, between Port Perry and Black- stock, was the victim of thieves twicein one week. Durham Regional Police say the station was broken into sometime overnight, June 23/ 24. A rear window was broken and thieves made off with a number of cigarette cartons, worth approximately $600. As if that wasn't enough, on June 26 at 2 p.m., the station was victimized again. According to police, a male sus in an older Monte Carlo or Caprice pulled up and asked for $16 worth of gas. He also asked to use the phone. While the attendant was fill- ing the car's tank, the suspect went in to use the phone. When the attendant was fin- ished, the suspect claimed he didn't have any money, so he left a gold chain as collateral un- til the bill could be paid. After the suspect left, police say the attendant discovered the cash register had been cleaned out of approximately $200. Needless to say, the man hasn't been back in to pay his bill and police suspect the chain isn't worth $216. Certificates D.]. TAYLOR [Gic.
