Kentucky Fried Chicken in Port Perry is supplying the wings, free of charge, to all to enter. } The whole idea is for each entry to have sponsors (ie. 25 cents for every chicken wing consumed by the person). Then, each person is given 10 minutes to eat as many wings as possible. The glutton who eats the most wings in that time is the winner! So far, only three people have entered. They celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniver- sary on July 5 at the Oddfellows Hall, then received guests in their home on Cochrane Street in Port Perry. Two area girls, Frances Andrews and Laura DeHaas, are on their way to Europe on a Canadian Pacific Liner. They left on July 2 and will visit England, Holland, Belgium, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Spain and France. They expect to return August 26. Bill Harrison of the "Star" presented the captain of the Belleville Bantams with the Port Perry Star Trophy. The Belleville team won the top trophy by defeating North Bendale 4-3 in the final game. Miss Linda Mary Stone obtained her B.A. degree in English with first class honours at the spring convocation of the Univer- sity of Alberta on May 21. Linda is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Stone of Greenbank and is a former graduate of Port Perry High School.
