28 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Wednesday, July 5, 1989 Huge show during Festival Days Festival of Arts and Crafts to dazzle all The fourth annual Festival of Arts on the lake Arts and Craft Show and Sale promises to be a great addition again this year to the Great Britain Festival Days, sponsored by the Scugog Chamber of Commerce. The show will be held at Palmer Park on Saturday July 16 from 10 a.m. to4 p.m. The exhibitors returning this year are Marcela Lukavsky of Uxbridge with ceramic jewel- lery; Sandra Pentland with ap- ple head dolls; Marie Pentland with hand-painted and sewn t- shirts and machine knitted sweaters; Irene Duyf with pot- tery and Barbara Kimball with stoneware pottery; Ev-Len Crafts with woodenware; The Belfry Arts and Crafts--Jean and Jan Bajer returning with porcelain pottery, paper mache sculptures and copper ena- melled jewellery. Other people returning are Lloyd and Mary Smith's Origi- nal Enchanted Sands; Eileen" Andrew with ceramics; Ruth Sedgewick was in the 1987 show and returns with hand- painted silk scarves and other hand-painted garments; Ina LeGard and thy Elchesen with folk art and baskets; and Diana Bent with quilted cush- ions and aprons. New this year is "Namico" {PORT PERRY which consists of Lynn Muir, El- len Oliver and he Pater- son from Oshawa, who have painted fleece, painted silk ap- pliqued onto garments, Sarongs and other painted items. Sharon Russell also known as "Farmer's Daughter" will arrive with grapevine specialities, to- piary trees, baskets and hats. Joan Pauly will show off her Petit Point jewellery and Traudl Holy makes handwoven sweaters and cocoons. Jake VanDenbrink will bring original oil and acrylic paint- ings plus limited edition prints, decorator prints, hand-painted paddles and greeting cards. Although the Festival of Arts is billed as a "small" craft show, it's big on variety, big on quality work, and big on friendly peo- ple. Don't miss it! County SH...
