Margaret Ann Lamb took "Gifts' as her theme in the Worship and program, she was assisted by Rita Storie. One of our members Pearl Dobson recently celebrated her 90th bir- thday, we have happy memories of meetings in Pearls home through the years. Diane McKinzey conducted a short business meeting. Plans were completed for the visit to the Christian Blind Mission Stouff- ville on Julv 6th leaving Man- chester at 11:30 a.m.. A beautiful layette was displayed, many thanks to those who donated toward this, especially the lovely hand knitted articles. The meeting closed with a delicious lunch. The next meeting will be on Sept. 7th. To celebrate Seniors month, on Sunday June 25th. Manchester United Church had Rev. Donald Tansley as guest speaker, also the Scugog Seniors Choir provided the beautiful music. This was all very much appreciated. Utica euchre on Friday Utica and Area News by Vera Brown Church service will be held in Utica United Church this Sunday at 11:15 a.m.. Recent visitors with Lorne and Eileen Slute were son Brian and family of Cookstown, daughter Sharane Ross and boys of Port Perry. * Jane Bradbury, her daughters Alison Aked and Jacqueline Wilson, Mary Brady, Ethel Aked and her daughter Heather all took in the performance of Les Miserables at the Royal Alex- ander Theater in Toronto last Wednesday evening. Utica was the scene of the 3rd Annual Aked - Parmar Canada Day celebration on Saturday. Games, barbeque and a grand display of fireworks and an even- ing bonfire were enjoyed by everyone. Since the gathering a year ago there were 5 new baby girls added to the group. Visiting with Stephen, Alison and children for a few days are his parents from Edmonton. Happy Birthday to Jane Brad- bury and Bill Brown who have special days this week. Birthday greetings to Danny Sutherland who turned 10 years old on Sunday. He is having a par- ty with some of his friends on Tuesday. Greenbank area news Church Service is at the usual time next Sunday. The annual pic- nic is on Sunday following the Church service with a pot luck picnic. Bring a lawn chair and a pencil. / We extend our sympathy to Mrs. Frank Innes and family on the death of Frank Innes last Fri- day. Mr. and Mrs. Innes moved to Sunderland a few years ago due to his failing health. The Greenbank Gamblers did not win at the tournament in Buf- falo over the weekend but are to be congratulated on a good effort.
