George Heayn Sr. and his fami- ly arrived in this area in the1850's from Cornwall, England. Most of the descendants still reside within the area. . On behalf of those present, Lila Clarke welcomed Doreen and Ken Heayn from Truro, Cornwall, England who have been visiting during the past month. She briefly gave the historical account of the area in relationship to her fore-fathers. Moe Christie shared some early childhood memories of stories' told about various Heayn-clan members.
