In keeping with a long standing tradition, Saturda and Sunday were blessed wit -guperior weather, while Mon- day was severely impeded by bitter cold winds. The highlights of this civic holiday weekend included the popular childrens' Gala Fun Parade and Miss Regatta Beau- ty Contest. Jennifer Bryans was crowned Miss Regatta, while her Princesses were; Na- dine Hood, Lisa Fearnley and Lee Wagland. As the children wound their way from the Firehall to Putsey Park; ators were very impressed by the creativi- ty shown in individual and up costuming. gro Ho the entrants this year was a mermaid, many ani-- mals, some militant types, a box of popcorn, several bat- mans, robin and catwoman. According to officials, events went smoothly all week- end thanks to the help of partic- pants and judges alike. Len Prout wished to express his spe- cial thanks for the ever .vigi- lante Ray Gould and the Cae- sarea Volunteer Fire Fighters. Extravaganza. On Wednesday Johnny you'll have a chance to "dress-up like your rockstar idol, Next it's off to the Kawartha Summer Theatre in Lindsay to see 'Seymour the Stegosaurus." Then it's a chance to hide behind the scenes the paper- mache masks made during craft time. Also we have a special visit from "Bob the mad truck driver" and his rigs. The fun does not stop here, lit- tle Johnny can still enjoy his regular tri-weekly visits to Bird- seye 1 to go swimming and Tu y the older kids can enjoy canoeing. ° Last week Johnny had so much fun here at Daycamp, he is com- ing again for a sixth week. Although little Johnny made it in- to the last round in the limbo con- test, he fell to be defeated by Mark Sauter and Jeff Clarke who tied for second place to Jamie Sauter who limboed under a stick 1 foot high. The child of the week was Grant McCoshen but little Johnny said he's going to win it next week so, come out for a week of fun, with all your talents. Daycamp will be number one!
