The Ontario Provincial Police will be the first police force in North America to operate radar detector detectors in an effort to deter speeding - one of fhe major causes of fatal motor vehicle accidents. A number of the devices have been purchased for the Force's pilot project and will be distributed to detachments throughout the province.
