Mountjoy Picnic Blackstock and Area News by Joyce Kelly Congratulations to Robert Green and Sue Fraser who were married last Saturday in Knox- Moore Presbyterian at Mooretown. The reception and dance was held in the Holliday Inn in Sarnia. An open house was held at the home of the bride's parents on Sunday as several of the bride's relatives were present from Ireland. Robert and Sue are honeymooning tq the Maritimes. His many friends are pleased to know that John Goss is home again from an emergency stay in Ottawa Hospital where he was taken after a problem suffered while on vacation. Stephanie Shortridge celebrated her 9th birthday with two birthday parties. Happy Bir- thday Stephanie. On Sunday the annual Mountjoy Picnic was held at the beautiful home of Mrs. Ivan Mountjoy with a good crowd of the clan attending and enjoying visiting as well as a sport programme. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Johnston of Belleville spent a few days with their cousins Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Dorrell. They enjoyed the fair and also attended the Mountjoy picnic. Stefan Kerry, Liason Officer of Ryerson Polytechincal Institute revisited Blackstock last weekend and called upon Cathy Paisley who has been employed this sum- mer at the Ryerson Admissions Information Office. Stefan en- joyed his visit to Cartwright High School last year and is looking for- ward to a return visit this fall to promote the courses being offered at Ryerson. University and College students will be returning to their studies shortly. Please let me know where you are going so that I can compile a list of our local students at post-secondary studies. The ladies of Blackstock Women's Institute wish to invite interested persons to attend their meeting Sept. 6 at 8:00 p.m. at the Town Hall. The occasion being a presentation by Ron Martyn en- titled 'Preparing Your Children For Old Age." It will be a prospec- tive view for adults beyond the year 2000.
