A 1988 GMC half-ton val- ued at about $10,000 was re- ported stolen August 29 by a resident of Shirely Road. The owner had driven to a friend's house and left the truck to to do some work elsewhere. When he returned the truck was gone. The truck, completely de- stroyed by fire, was later found in a wooded off-road area near the Scugog-Oshawa Town Line Road. Police are investigating. A Police spokesman told the Star Tuesday morning there has been an increase re- cently in the number of stolen vehicles recently, especially in the Uxbridge area. Not only does the group want a minimum size of 16 inch- es, but a maximum size as well of 22inches. This would mean that any fish under 16 inches or over 22 inches would have to be re- leased back into the water.
