Beavers, Scouts & leaders needed on Island by Mrs. Earl Reader Registration will take place on Mon. Oct. 2 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Scugog Island Community Hall - Corner of Con. 10, for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Leaders and helpers are needed as well as members for a Group Committee. Parents please show your interest by participating with your children. Every endeavour will be made by both, past committees, leaders and District, to help you along. If you or children have not been involved before, come out and learn the advantages and work being done. Apple Day will follow Sat. Oct. 14, 1989. For information on any of the above, please call 985-2673. If you have not ordered your Turkey Supper tickets for Wed. night, you'll have to be happy with 6:30 p.m. even if you hurry. Sunday Sept. 24 will be your last chance to attend the Island Church with Miss Edith Bolton and present Best Wishes before she moves to another area. Rev. Lynne Belfry-Graham of Sunderland will be delayed for a couple of Sundays before taking over. Therefore Rev. Atkinson will fill in for 2 Sundays. You will have noticed there will be a special day at the Scugog Museum on Sat. Sept. 30, follow- ed by the Annual Old Fashioned Church Service on the next day, Oct. 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Museum "Head Memorial" Church spon- sored by the "Head" U.C.W. Then we look forward to Thanksgiving followed by the An- nual Anniversary Service with more information later. .
