In order to do so, Port Perry had to prove that their sports coverage for the local teams was regular, detailed, and interesting. There were 14 other Associations com- peting, from as far north as Beaverton down to Oshawa, Whit- by, and Ajax, but it was judged the Port's publicity was the best. We wish to thank the Port Perry Star for their willingness to ac- cept and print the weekly reports, and the dedicated local writers who faithfully met the Monday deadline - even after Sunday night games. Of course, we cannot forget the girls who go out each week, play to win, and give the writers something great to report.
