Brooklin Horticultural Society will meet on Wednesday evening of this week at the -Brooklin United Church. This will be a full evening with the Chrysanthemum and Vegetable Show, with a total of 44 classes. This is your last chance to compete for another season, so select your best, and hopefully you will carry home many prizes. All entries are ac- cepted from 6:30-7:45. The bulb sale will begin at 7:30, to keep the meeting from running too late. If you want a select choice of bulbs, plan on being there early. An ex- cellent assortment of bulbs are available to you, with over 25 varieties of tulips, 15 varieties of narcissus, 7 hyacinths, 5 wild tulips, 4 alliums, at least 10 types of minor bulbs, and a selection of species narcissus. Our thanks to Ken Brown for making these available. Ken will show slides of individual cultivars as well as giv- ing tips on planting and maintenance of bulbs in the garden, also tips on forcing bulbs for mid-winter enjoyment. Each person attending will have a chance to participate during the workshop portion of the program.
