Many of his rides are at his farm (Quinderia Farms), which is located five miles north of Port .Perry, just off Regional Road 2in Seagrave. He has had the business at his farm for four years, but this is not the extent of his ventures : He also sends teams to To- ronto that do rides at shoppin malls etc., and many that wor closer to home in places such as Pleasure Valley, and Cullen Gardens. Each sleigh ride can hold about 18-20 people, and costs $120 an hour(the rides usually last about two hours). The trip includes a ride through open fields, a bush trail, and a stop for a bonfire, and hot chocolate. Mr. Moore states he has been around horses all his life, and it is a good business. He offers sleigh rides in the winter, and hayridesin the summer. At the present time he owns 26 Belgium horses, but will hire extra horses at any given time if he needs them, business in Seagrave does well, and he also services the valley quite often. Christmas and New Years, are very busy times for the farm. Next week Mr. Moore stated he has 10 rides sched- uled. "This really is too many, of- ten we are way overbooked," he said. More than one sleigh is in op- eration at a time, often four sets of sleighs are working si- multaneously. Mr. Moore has four drivers who help him, as well as his family who pitch in to help with the business. His business does not neces- sarily attract local groups. He believes that many in this area, do not know about the service thi} he Ore 'of So e get a lot of groups from Whitby, Toronto, Ajax, Picker- ing, and Lindsay, rather than locals," he said. If a group wishes to book a sleigh ride, often it should be done two months in advance, depending on dates. It was a cold day, Jk but this group still enjoyed their scenic tour, from thelr front row seats. The horses led the group through the open fields, and down a mile long bush trail on Keith Moore's Farm.
