After trailing for most of the game the Port Perry High School Boys Junior Basketball team rallied to come out on top of a 50-40 decision, in league playlast Thursday. The visiting Central Chiefs stayed one step ahead of the Rebels in the first quarter, end- ingit witha 9-5lead. The Chiefs continued their strong play into the second quarter, matching the Port team point for point. At the end of the first half the Chiefs still led by a four point margin. Both teams showed strong of- fensive and defensive play, which was reflected by the close score, The third quarter showed the Rebels pull a little closer to evening up the deficit. In the final quarter, the Port Perry Rebels took control of the play in their own end, to ed them on to victory. Blades and the Boys travelled to Port Hope Sunday evening to compete against a Port Hope squad who were hoping for a win but didn't get it as Port Perry that is, whipped the Hopers 6-2. Beauty!
