Proposed by-law could limit parking on street to one side Scugog Township council will be studying a new by-law that will limit parking to one side of the street in certain are- as of Port Perry. Some of the streets effected by the proposed by-law include Bigelow, Rosa, McDonald, and those in the Apple Valley subdi- vision. Roads superintendent Ronn MacDonald told council that those streets mentioned are wide enough for a parking lane on one side, along with the two regular driving lanes. With vehicles parked on both sides of the street, it de- feats the purpose of why the street was built wide enough for aparkinglane. Councillors agreed that it is safer if vehicles are limited to Durham College chairman Dorothy Stirling, of Oshawa, was elected Chair of the Durham College Board of Governors at its December 13 meeting, succeeding Bob Fair of Port Hope.
