Local cloggers perform God has blessed Prince Albert with another grandson. Heather Lucas gave birth to a beautiful son -- a gift to her handsome hus- band Mark. What a background for this child. His mother is Cana- dian, his father is Australian and he may spend the first few years in Tokyo, Japan. Proud grand- parents are Terry & Eileen Hodgins, great-grandmother is face Cherry. Congratulations to all. Another beautiful grandchild was baptised on Sunday -- Auberley Brienne Joy Hope, daughter of Rick and Kim Hope, granddaughter of Dorothy & Roy Hope. Auberley was cheerful and charming but she was upstaged by her bigger sister, Olivia. Olivia acted as our new associate minister taking her place at the front of the church. Thank you for having such beautiful children. We older folk enjoy them very much. Thursday evening the weekly euchre had eight tables. High score for ladies: Doris Hill, Elsie Pogue, Dorothy Butson. Men: Joe McCasler, Tony Krerg, Mary Williamson. Lucky draw winners were Clara Whitter, Merle St. John, Rachel Harper. Sympathy is extended to Grant Bright, one of our regular players on the death of his wife Carrie. Sympathy is also extended to Bob and Sandra Greenwood. San- dy's father, Mr. George Hall pass- ed away suddenly the first of last week. Also to the Popowich and Wozney families on the death of their mother and to Ruby and Harvey Dearborn in the passing of grandmother Stone. The Mystery Sister and frien- ship dinner will be held on March 19 at Uxbridge. Please mark your calendar and you will be hearing more about this in the weeks to follow. We have just returned from the congregational dinner. The food was excellent and plentiful. The entertainment was out of this PRINCE ALBERT NEWS BY PEGGY BREDIN world. More than 90 people were entertained first by Carla McMillan who taught us how to clap. Melissa Pereman played a beautiful piece on the piano. Our fabulous choir sang a medley of Walt Disney tunes that had everyone tapping their toes and clapping their hands. Can you imagine Prince Albert's own real estate agent being as quiet as a mouse? You have to see it to believe it. Charlie Andrews mezmorized everyone with 3 Gordie Lightfoot tunes. His daughter Tracie sang 2 selections that left us awed. Our substitute choir director. never ceases to amaze us. Darryl Linnington and Karen Doyle demonstrated clogging. We now know why he is so skinny. What talented people. We wish him and his group all the best. If you go to Disney World in Florida next November you will see them representing Canada. Remember you saw them first in our little church basement on Feb. 25, 1990. Everyone wants to thank Linda McMillan for erganizing everything. Also for finding 3 readings from Grace Beacock's scrap books. They were very touching. Terry Hodgin read one about the U.C.W. I read one about volunteers and Linda read one on Small Towns. Thanks to everyone. For those who didn't get on the prograin this year start practising for next year. MaryLynne Moynes is going to play her violin and Don Smith is going to clog. P.S. Anyone wanting to get ear- rings like Linda's (toilets) call her. She'll be glad to tell you where she got them. We extend sincere sympathy for those in bereavement of late, such Wozneys, Snelgroves, Greenwoods and Chambers. Les and Grace Beacock had his sister Miss Olive Beacock from the Villa on Tuesday for dinner. If you have any news for next week please call Ilean Pugh.
