A special thanks to Sharmen Porter and Debbie Bat- ten for their songs during the pro- gramme and a word of apprecia- tion to everyone who helped to make this concert a success. Rev. John Robertson was with us again last Sunday morning and delivered a very inspiring sermon "Why 1 Believe in the Holy Spirit." Moyra Dobson and Ron Ashton read the Scriptures. Next Sunday's sermon will be "Why I Believe in Prayer." This Thursday night is euchre night again at the Community Centre at 8 p.m. Everyone welcome. Last Wednesday the Ladies Bi- ble Class met at the church, with Florence Ashton chairing the meeting. The meeting opened with the singing of His Name is Wonderful, with Joan Knight reading the Scripture from 1 John, Chapter 1. Meditation by the president. Prayer by Chrissie McKinney. There is Sunshine in My Soul was sung. A poem "Pussy Willow Time" was read. Margaret Davis was in charge of the programme and gave us a nice talk on '"'Discouragement." Margaret closed the meeting with prayer. Joan Knight served us lovely refreshments. Ross and Dianne Batten and family have returned home from an enjoyable holiday in the Dominican Republic. Bill and Bernice Gardner visited with relatives in Guelph recently. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Yeandle, Ammanda and Douglas visited with Bill and Bernice. Don't forget the congregational dinner on Friday, March 30 at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $5.00, children under 12 free. Tickets available from Guild Members. Proceeds to the "drapery" fund. Have a good week.
