lf haa a coe SE) re The Big Brothers/Blg Sisters Bowl For Millions was a huge success financially this year (see story) and last week executive director Susan Scholfield (at left) presented Bren- da Appleby with tickets to Las Vegas for bringing in the top pledges ($1336) The prize was presented by Nonquon Travel with Susan and Marg Waite representing the Port Perry com- pany. At right Reld Stainton who collected $631 in pledges received a compact disc player courtesy of House of Howard. A total of $10,549 was raised for the organization through the local Bowl for Millions. "Bowl for Millions" a huge success Bowl for Millions 1990, an an- nual fundraiser for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of North Durham, achieved an all time high of $10,549,64. All funds rais- ed go to the association to serve the needs of both boys and girls between the ages of six to 17 who live in the Townships of Scugog, Uxbridge and Brock. As the association is not fund- ed by a United Way or through government programmes, it relies heavily on the annual fun- draiser, Bowl for Millions, to pro- vide its operating costs.
