12 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday, April 3, 1990 Random Jottings (From page 6) the next day to find only one photograph in the Toronto Star- with a three line story underneath. The Sun apparently saw nothing worthy of coverage in the event. That was all the ink this great event received, (the first International §y/nasics event in Toronto in over five years) one photo and three lines of type. | guess the Toronto press were just too busy helping the likes of Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior promote Wres- tlemania in Toronto to worry about a few kids who would re- ceive nothing but pride for their accomplishments. | can't even imagine how many hundred's of thousands of dollars a handful of o ht, under-talented wrestlers pulled out of Toronto and area Sunday, but some estimates are as high as a million dollars. Just in case anyone out there might be interested, Can- .ad's Larrisa Lowing won the gold | for best overall ger formance and her team-mate Lori Strong won the silver. Also on the winners podium was Canada's Curtis Hibert who also won a silver medal for best overall performance. And do | know who won the World Wrestling Federation belt last Sunday? NO! And frankly, | really don't give a damn.
