The action was fast and furious but only one goal allowed. In the second period, Steve MacDonald scored for Larocque from Jeff Fletcher and Steve Gilbert. We will have to admit, Jamie Lowe played superb in net for Emiels. There was plenty of end to end rushing and in the lat- ter stages of the third, Larocque scored again - Jeff Fletcher from Mike Wilson and Matt Baker. With seconds to go Justin Wootton scored his second of the game for Larocque, Steve MacDonald and Steve Gilbert earning the assist. Final score Larocque 4, Emiels 0. This wraps it up for another year and I hope each and everyone of you boys had an ex- cellent year. To the coaches and assistants - thank you very much for another super year of Pee Wee Hockey. Late in the period Emiels Kirk Swain scored from James Patterson. In the second, Larocque rallied for two more, David Kemp from Scott Swain and Steve MacDonald unassisted. Again late in the se- cond, Emiels' Rob Martyn scored from Gord Bentley, In the third period, Emiels' Kirk Swain scored from Jeff Jamieson. Big v1 Scala 4 This game decided who went to the final Saturday and as Big V wouldn't be there anyway they made this their final by handing Scala a defeat thus eleminating them from the championship. Big V scored first Jonathon McCourt from John Hall ang Craig Coates. Scala fired back for the next two, Mark Dunn both of them, Matt Phoenix and Sean .Gawley assisting on both goals. Jasan Brain scored for Big V from Clay Scott and Greg Pugh. Scala end- ed the scoring for the period, Sean Gawley from Mike Pashley. Big V ralled for four quick ones, Craig Coates from Jonathan McCourt, Jason Brain from Clay Scott and Derek Anderson, Derek Anderson from Troy Anderson, Jonathon McCourt from Greg Pugh. Harper MVPs at Buffalo, NY tournament The Scugog Overhead Doors Pee Wee 2 team travelled to Buf- falo this weekend for the Pepsi- Cola Tournament. A very en- joyable tourney to attend - well run and an excellent host party Saturday night. Game one saw Port play the team from Rochester N.Y., with the score ending up tied, 2-2. This was a fast moving game with end to end action. Rochester scored first but 4 minutes later, Jason Phillips snuck the puck up into the top cor- ner of the net unassisted. Second period was scoreless. Port did some good hustling and Darly Bourgeois and Ian McCready teamed up and got the puck to Jeremy Geer who made his shot from the point count. Rochester tied it up 2 minutes later but neither team could break the tie. MVP Jason Phillips. In Game 2, Port played a very large sized Ontario team from Stayner. Sta ended the first period Leading 2-0. Port scored twice in the second, their first on a good rush by Ian Shrigley to Sandy Mark who sent it high over the goalie's shoulder and our se- from an off balanced, lean- ing shot by Jeremy Geer, assist to Daryl Bourgeois. Stayner got 2 more to end the second 4-2 and notched 3 more in the third Port their first loss 7-2. Scot Prechitko. In Game 3, Port played another U.S. team from Bud Bakewell N.Y. and lost by a score of 3-2. Port scored first on a 3 way pass from Jason Reid to Daryl Bourgeois to Jeremy Geer. Jer popped it into the empty side of Bud Bakewell scored to end the period tied. Bud Bakewell scored twice in the second and Port fought hard to even it up but no luck. Port worked hard but was denied many times. At last with 45 sec. left in the third, Port came within 1 goal of tying it up. Jason Phillips blasted one in from the blue line with the assist going to Andrew Jones. MVP Brent , Port now plays in the Bowman- ville tourney this weekend. roa
